Filed Plan

This is the plan of the property which details it's boundaries and is held (or filed) at the Land Registry.

Fixtures & Fitting

These are all the items contained within a property. It is usually things like curtains and light fittings but can sometimes also include some of the furniture (the chattels). All these items that will be included in the sale will be listed in a Fixtures and Fittings Form.

Flying Freehold

This situation exists where part of the freehold property you own overhangs part of another persons freehold property e.g. The loft space in your home overhangs the master bedroom of your neighbours property

Freehold

This is the full legal ownership of a property and the land that is associated to it. If you have the freehold it means you are completely responsible for the maintenance of the entire building.

Freeholder

The land owner upon which sits a block of flats or maisonettes

Frustrated Contracts

This is when unexpected events make a contract impossible to complete. This is very rare but in this case the "frustrated" person can get out of the contract without any ramifications.
